About the event

This workshop is for anyone who wants to expand their skillsets with easy and improvisational processes that can be done without a darkroom and with minimal chemicals and supplies. You’ll leave the workshop knowing how to get started in chemigram, lumen, and phytogram techniques and how to combine processes for results limited only by your imagination.
About the Instructor
Morrison’s work finds anachronistic harmonies among historical practice and contemporary image technologies, highlighting the expressive properties of photographic materials. She invites elements of chance throughout her lens-based and alternative darkroom practices, experimenting with interactions of color, light, time, and sensitized paper in collaboration with inanimate elements and organic matter. She earned her MFA in Visual Arts at California State University, Northridge, and lives with her wife, three cats, a dog, and a snake in the San Fernando Valley.
